Located 15 Km from Funchal, Ribeira Brava has a vast cultural heritage from which are part the main church, Fortress, the ethnographic museum (in an ancient rural solar) and two small museum nucleus — one of them dedicated to sacred art shows the main church treasures.
Ribeira Brava is characterized by a very sympathetic village full of welcoming and warming people. Like in all the Island, Ribeira Brava is known by the good weather during the summer and almost all the winter, making it a perfect spot for a visit at any time of the year.
To its visitors Ribeira Brava has a little of everything, which makes it an excellent spot for vacations, conciliating nice beaches with the famous nature walks.
